Chandler, AZ – This is a new 25,000 square foot non-denominational church and daycare. The design includes a multi-purpose meeting/dining/event space, a sanctuary with a stage and sound room and an attached day care facility with a separate entrance. Also included in the scope of work were a full commercial kitchen, a separate residential-style kitchen, ADA compliant restrooms, a deli/cafe and an outdoor play area.
The goal of this project was to create a space that functioned for several purposes and provided an aesthetic that was serene and motivational. The main entrance incorporated natural elements with a water feature and by using colors and materials that reflect the colors and textures of the surrounding landscape. Large areas of glazing provide an abundance of natural light throughout the space.
